Happy Holly-Days!

Grace and Garrett are getting married on December 19th and Grace wanted an invitation that really highlighted the holiday time of the year. This folder style invitation has a cranberry pearl folder, hunter green ribbon band and invite panel adorned with a custom holly leaf and berry design. With their wedding just over a week away and Christmas not far behind, this holiday inspired invitation should get you in the spirit! Enjoy!

Real Wedding - Diana & Jon - 09.06.09

Diana and Jon got married earlier this month in Washington, DC. I was so excited when Diana emailed me the link to these awesome pics from their photographer, Pamela Lepold. There are just so many great detail shots of our work...not to mention of the bride and groom! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...enjoy!

What a cool picture!!

Our place cards hanging from the pretty branches

The most important place card...

Love this pic of our invite in the branches

...and the inside of the invite

How great is it that the flower we used on all of their stationery was used on the cake too!

The happy couple...congrats Diana and Jon!

Featured Wedding - Jodi & Chris

I usually don't post on the weekends, but I was lucky enough to get the pro pics from Jodi and Chris' wedding on June 6th and thought I would share some of the great detail shots from the big day. As a reminder, we did the save the date, invitation and all day of accessories for their wedding. Special thanks to their photographer - Photography by Alexander - for the great shots! Also, Intrigue Decor and Design did the amazing florals, lighting and decor. Enjoy!

Okay, this shot is a pro pic of their invite from Jen Lowe, but I love it and had to include!

Flower Fun

Diana and Jonathan met with me a few months ago to design their folder style invitation. Diana came totally prepared with color swatches and pictures of daisies, as inspiration for the invitation. I LOVE when brides come with ideas! So, she knew she wanted to incorporate turquiose, teal and a mod/graphic flower design. After a few design variations, we came up with the totally fun, floral design that we incorporated in all of the elements of the invitation -- on the monogram tag, invite, insert cards and even on the envelopes! I just love the colors, the design, well, everything! Enjoy!

It's a Navy Thing

As many of you know, Annapolis is home to the United States Naval Academy. Since Handmade by Allison is based out of Annapolis, we have a lot of brides who get married at the Naval Academy Chapel. Today we wrapped up an order for Regina and Joseph who are getting married there in a few short months. Regina's invitation is a folder style invite in navy blue, with celery and white accents. The monogram tag on the front, invite panel and response card incorporate my hand sketch of the dome of the chapel.

Hope you enjoy the pictures of Regina's invitation!
