Sangria anyone?

Jenn is getting married at an old Spanish style mansion and wanted her invitation to have a Spanish feel. I LOVE these colors and the Spanish tile design we created for her. Jenn is carrying through the Spanish tile idea throughout the entire wedding, so it's a perfect fit. It just makes me feel like eating tapas and drinking a glass of sangria. Jenn got the invites over the weekend and sent me this wonderful note.

Back from the show...

I am back from the Stationery Show...and have been trying to catch up all week! :) The show was very cool and very overwhelming, but I found some great new handmade papers and one of my suppliers has added an embossed pocket to their line...very cool!

Onto the fun stuff...we just finished these invites for Raven. Her colors are chocolate and terracotta and she wanted a modern look to her pocket. Enjoy the pics!!!

A note of thanks...

I wanted to share a great note of thanks that I received from Shirelle today. I'm also including pictures of her invitation below too.

"Hi Allison,

I think Jake & I spoke with half of our invited guests last night. The reason...........they all LOVED the invitations! They all shared how beautiful and different they were! I just wanted to pass along our thanks again for a job well done with thoughtful and delicate attention to detail. Can't wait to see the table numbers you can create in July!

Have a great weekend,
Shirelle & Jake"

It's a wrap!

For all of the brides looking for an invite that isn't a pocket or folder, I have the invite for you. Lauren came to me with this idea...a heavy white card with a delicate dot border, wrapped with a beautiful swirled paper and tied with a black, grosgrain ribbon bow. We called it the "bow" invite originally, but now that we are shipping these out to her today...it's a wrap!

Elegance

I first met with Amy last year before she moved out to California. We started by creating a magnet save the date using one of their engagement photos. Then, we moved onto designing her pocketfold invitation. I think the one word that describes this invite is "elegant". The gold leaf pocket and black accents, just make for a classic and sophisticated look. Amy's mom picked these up on Monday and I'm sure they are on their way out to guests as I type.

Catch the Wave

The colors of the this invitation and the details on the monogram tag just remind me of water and waves...hence my blog title today. Jen actually had a huge input into the monogram tag design. It's so different than anything I've done before, but I'm so happy I was able to make Jen's vision for the monogram come to life. Hope you like this folder invitation too!

Sweet-ness

Mia came to me with a request to use new colors for the "Sweet" design on my website -- aqua and light coral. I love the color combo, and it is so different than anything we are designing right now. The final invitation turned out beautifully...and it still keeps with it's namesake..."sweet".

Seaside Elegance

We met with Nicole in the Fall of 2007 at a bridal show at Londontown Historic Gardens. We ended up doing some very cute save the date picture magnets for her and then continued working together on invitations. Nicole's invitation combines a beautiful aqua metallic colored folder style invitation with handmade "sand" paper on the front and a shell design for her monogram. Nicole and her fiance are getting married overlooking the water, so this invitation just fits their wedding perfectly. Enjoy!

An invitation that sparkles...

I wanted to share and invitation that really stands out from the rest! I just finished these last night and Heather will be picking them up tomorrow. When Heather came in for her invitation consultation, she wanted to combine design elements from a few of the samples we have in our studio. The rundown...a pocket, ribbon corners, shell design and last, but not least...rhinestones! The final result is a unique and striking invitation. Hope you like it too!

Photo Fun!

We just finished a "super cute" save the date magnet for Erin, who is getting married in September. She and her fiance took this picture while they were hiking. The sign originally said, "Please Stay on Trail"and they changed the picture to say, "Please Save the Date". How perfect! Go ahead and say, "Awh!!!!" We did!

Another idea we designed for Erin was a three photo save the date with pictures that went along with the words, "Live, Laugh, Love". Erin picked a picture of Joe holding her at the top of a mountain for "Live". Then for "Laugh" they had a goofy picture of the two of them being silly and finally the "Love" picture was the photo we ended up using below. I wanted to share that idea too, because I think a lot of other brides might like the Live, Laugh, Love idea for their save the date too! Thanks again, Erin!
