Tracy came to me a few weeks ago looking for table name cards that included a lighthouse and incorporated her colors of dark coral and lime green. Luckily, I had done hand sketches for about 25 lighthouses a few years ago. So, we were able to reuse those sketches and put a new spin on the table names for Tracy. Since Tracy couldn't come see us in person, we mailed her cardstock swatches and she fell in love with the papaya color and decided to use it for the table number backing and text color. I just love how these turned out and it makes me want to go to the beach right now! Enjoy!

Bridesmaids' Black
Jessica and Brandon came to us a few month ago to design their save the dates -- you might remember, they were the "date prominent" design with the red rhinestones as the dots between the date - 08.29.09.
Well, we were so excited to design their invitations too! These invites actually match the bridesmaids' dresses -- which was the first thing that Brandon said when he picked them up a few weeks ago. I just love the elegant black look with the touches of bright pink and champagne. And, of course, there is a red rhinestone on the front! Enjoy!

Gracias...Merci...Danke...
One of the last items we usually design for brides is custom thank you notes. Sometimes we use their custom monogram or just a simple "Thank You". Other times we use a fav photo from the big day and add text in their fonts/colors. Either way, these thank you notes really pull together all of the elements from the wedding and leave a lasting impression with your guests. "Thanks" to Leslie, Julie and Kristen...as their thank you notes shown below! Enjoy!

Winter Wedding
Jessica and Matt (along with Jessica's mom, Christi -- who owns Travel Bug and is the best travel agent out there -- trust me, I use her for all of my personal and business travel) came to me a few months ago to discuss save the dates. At the time, they were getting married in July of 2010, but Matt is in the Army and found out that he would already be deployed by the time July rolled around....so, a Winter Wedding, it is!
For their save the dates, Jessica liked the prominent date style and incorporated their colors of deep purple and lavender. We even included accommodations information on the back of the save the date card. Jessica came in a picked up her save the dates yesterday and we designed their beautiful invitations. I can't wait to see everything else come together. Enjoy!

Shall We Dance?
I started working with Erin a few months ago on her table name tents. She wanted a "cool" monogram design at the top, with a classic look in her black and red colors. Also, her tables are all named after Bob Dylan songs -- so unique! She fell in love with the table numbers and asked me to design her invitations too! I used the same monogram design from the table numbers and incorporated the music theme into her response card -- save a dance for me! I just love how this classic looking invitation came together. Enjoy!

International Affair with a Nautical Flair
Amanda and Patrick came to us to design their invitations first -- featured in a previous blog post. Amanda is from Canada and Patrick is from the US, so they wanted a design that incorporated their nationalities...along with red, white and blue colors!
It only stands to reason that their wedding day accessories would follow the same theme. We did fan style programs with blue backing, red ribbon and their custom monogram at top. We also designed their menus, table numbers, place cards and welcome bag info cards. Some of these items have a nautical theme with an anchor design, because they got married on the water at Celebrations at the Bay. Enjoy!

Flower Fun
Diana and Jonathan met with me a few months ago to design their folder style invitation. Diana came totally prepared with color swatches and pictures of daisies, as inspiration for the invitation. I LOVE when brides come with ideas! So, she knew she wanted to incorporate turquiose, teal and a mod/graphic flower design. After a few design variations, we came up with the totally fun, floral design that we incorporated in all of the elements of the invitation -- on the monogram tag, invite, insert cards and even on the envelopes! I just love the colors, the design, well, everything! Enjoy!

Naval Academy Nuptials
Being in Annapolis, Maryland, we have a lot of brides and grooms getting married at the United States Naval Academy Chapel. One of our most popular designs for these weddings is the hand sketch that I did of the dome on the top of the Naval Academy Chapel. It is probably the most recognizable landmarks at the Academy, so it's a perfect addition to any Navy wedding.
Lesley and Ming-Tze chose a pocketfold style invitation in navy blue with clover green and white accents. The sketch of the dome is incorporated into the monogram tag, inside invite and event the reception card. Enjoy!

Very Violet
Suehellen and Patrick met with me a few months ago, while they were in town doing other wedding planning -- they live in Connecticut! Lerkia from Savvy Soirees had contacted me prior to the meeting to tell me all about their "Very Violet" color scheme, so I had lots of ideas when I finally got to meet with them. In the end, Suehellen and Patrick decided on a tea length invitation with a violet metallic cardstock backing and violet text. The ribbon band in their accent color of spring moss is such a pretty touch! I can't wait to work on the rest of their accessories for the big day...including tea tins! Enjoy!

Fun with Fushcia...
...and a starfish too! Allison and Andrew had seen our Popular Starfish invitation and fell in love with it. For their invite, they wanted the same feel, but chose to incorporate a lapis blue color into the design. With the natural raffia and a rectangular pocket, this twist on one of our most popular invites is unique to Allison and Andrew. Enjoy!

Blooms in Blue
Recently we had the opportunity to work with our Studio Manager Allie's good friends - Beth & Sean on their paper items for their special day. We created save the dates, pocketfold invitations, programs and custom reserved signs. Beth asked us to incorporate a flowery vintage design using a blue and silver color scheme on her invitations. We searched our sources for a new flower image and found the perfect fit! Beth & Sean's invitations used a blue pocketfold, stardream silver backing layer and white pearl metallic cardstock.
Their programs were made using a white pearl metallic cardstock and the monogram tag from their invitations. They were made to be a square shape to match their invitation design.
Allie was lucky enough to be in attendance on the big day and received a ton of compliments on the items we created from their guests. Here is a pic of the couple on their big day - enjoy!

Champagne Corners
I was SO excited when Basia and James came to meet with me earlier this year, because they are having their reception at Old South Country Club in Lothian, MD. I had my wedding at Old South (almost seven years ago), so I was excited to work with a couple getting married there too! I think the invite turned out so pretty...with the champagne ribbon corners, craberry pearl backing and ivory pearl pocket...it really has such an elegant feel. Enjoy!

Chicago Bound
We just shipped out these invitations to Rebecca and Chris today. I think this is the first Fall inspired invitations we've posted about this year. I really love the classic look of this invitation and the milk chocolate, gold leaf and wine colors are just so perfect for an early Fall wedding. Enjoy!

Right Now and Raspberry
We have about 12 weddings this weekend, so I wanted to highlight some accessories for those big weddings that might be happening right now! I ended up choosing two different weddings -- both that are full of a bright raspberry color.
Jodi and Christopher have been working with us from the very beginning with their save the dates. We had the opportunity of doing their beautiful folder style, "peony" invitations a few months ago. For their accessories, we did a variety of swirly, vine inspired designs in raspberry, pearl white and chocolate -- table number, menus and place cards. I can't wait to see pictures of these raspberry placecards, which will be placed in grass on little wooden sticks at the wedding! Too cool!
Kizzy and Mark came to us just for accessories, but we really loved their raspberry pink and apple green color scheme. Below is their classic ivory, chocolate and raspberry booklet style program. We also designed menus and table numbers that had apple green flourishes with raspberry pearl and ivory accents.

Roped in Love
As we are pretty nautical here in Annapolis, so, a lot of our invitations have a nautical or beach feel. One of our favorite ways to accent a pretty invitation is with a natural colored rope cording, finished with knots. It definitely adds a unique and special touch to a flat panel invitation...or even a pocket design. If you are a loyal blog stalker, you've probably seem some examples of this nautical rope design before, but if not, we hope you like Allison and Tiffany's invitations below! Enjoy!

Light and Lovely
Emily came to us in search of classic and beautiful accessories for her upcoming wedding this weekend. Her colors are a combo of golds, tan, pink and white. We designed a layered style program with a backing our new fav color -- sand metallic -- white pearl pages and a pretty light pink bow. For table numbers, we used a light pink pearl backing, white pearl top layer with a light pink knot at the top. To hold the table numbers, we provided Emily with gold, rope style table number stands. I know this wedding is just going to be lovely! I can't wait to see pictures. Enjoy!

Sandy Starfish
Shara and Blair are friends of my family, so I was so happy that they chose us to do their wedding invitations. Since they are getting married at The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club this summer, they wanted an invitation that really highlighted the beach and sun! Their pocket is a brand new color -- and the first design to use it -- "sand" with a metallic finish. It is just so pretty combined with the coral and light yellow accents. Hope the big day is as bright and happy as the invitation! Enjoy!
